Born in Flint, Michigan, Bob Golden is a seasoned songwriter, lyricist, and poet whose creative journey spans more than 45 years. With roots planted deeply in the rich soil of American folk, rock, and country music, Bob's work is a heartfelt tribute to the classic storytellers who shaped him—icons like Bob Dylan, Kris Kristofferson, Cat Stevens, James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot, Bob Seger and many others.
A true craftsman of words and melody, Bob has written many original songs and poems that reflect the soul of everyday America—its hopes, heartbreaks, resilience, and quiet beauty. His performances at countless open mic nights have connected him with audiences who appreciate the sincerity and timelessness of his style.
In the late 90's, Bob compiled decades of his work into a book titled An American Stroll, a collection that captures the spirit of his lifelong creative exploration.
Bob now lives just outside Washington, D.C. with his wife, Minna. Their love story has been a personal muse—each year since 1978, Bob has written Minna an original anniversary poem, a tradition that continues to this day. He is a father to 3 amazing adult children and grandfather to 5 beautiful grandkids.
