Does love have a shelf life, where it will start and end?
If it is infinite, why do we have what if’s or try to pretend?
True love never dies or fades away
Or at least that is what the poets throughout time do say

Does love have an expiration, where it comes and goes?
If it is endless, there’s no need to say goodbye or hello
True love is here transfixed to stay
Or at least artists’ paintings are timeless through modern day

Our love is never ending, as it takes it time to unfold
Sometimes slight, sometimes seeming to disappear
Our love is tightly woven together deep in our souls
Nothing will reduce the heat, turn us into cold

Does love have a go sign, meaning we may actually say stop?
If it is always a yes, then our priority is togetherness, always on top
True love is always affirmative, casting no doubt
Or at least the storytellers’ fairy tales definitely go that route
