Genre: Acoustic Pop? Country? It might also work as a song for a film or TV show soundtrack depending on the film or TV show.
Details: A love song about meeting the person who is everything you need in a partner.

Verse-chorus-verse is the most common and most routine song arrangement on the market, isn’t it? The chorus tends to be the hook and it’s what can catch people and lure them to a song to the state of infection with some music.

But we don’t all write verse-chorus-verse, now do we? Some of the stuff that gets written does have a hook line or something else that takes things into a state where we think it’ll work as music, right?

My request, for social sake and exposure sake to all the songwriters and lyricists who see this thread, is for you to post a link to one of your songs that isn’t verse-chorus-verse om arrangement. Tell us the genre you think it’d work best in and anything else you might want to share.

Here’s one of mine for example:
      Title: Crimson Crown

      Genre: Funk? Funk, funk rock
Details: Not one of my best, it just works in the title phrase a few times. I’ve seen and heard that done in songs before so I know it can work. If it draws in interest is another story.   It’s also pretty old, I wrote it as a poem in late 2001.
