Hi, I’m Jay — a songwriter writing for the world.
Born and raised in the Bradford countryside of Northern England, I bring a distinctive transatlantic perspective to modern songwriting. My sound blends the raw, honest storytelling of classic Country with the catchy, emotional energy of British Pop. Whether I’m writing a heartfelt Nashville-style ballad, a soaring cinematic track, or a radio-ready pop anthem, everything starts with the lyric — turning ordinary moments into something unforgettable.
From small-town truths to big-city dreams, I craft songs that feel like home no matter where you are.
Styles:
Country • Pop • Ballads • Cinematic • Trance/Electro (as J4Y)
My mission is simple: to create songs that top artists want to record and that directors and music supervisors choose for film, TV, and major placements.
