Living in their yesterday
Vivid pictures fill their minds
Withered down to old and gray
But they’re not the quitting kinds

Some wear tattered clothes
And are homeless, destitute
There’s so many of those
That the people persecute

What most of us have got

A place to live a shattered life

More than merely to survive
A home to call their own
