The time has come
For me to crawl
To the deepest dark forest
I promised myself
A long time ago
And I don’t like to be dishonest
To myself
So now I’m off
So please don’t try to stop me
I want to die alone
With my thoughts
Where no-one can ever find me
Cats they run
Away from home
When they’re about to die
Saving themselves
From all the pain
Of having to say goodbye
But humans
Are not like cats
They stay and fade away
Losing
All their dignity
Until that final day
When they are taken
From their loved ones
To maybe a better place
Where their consciousness
Still exists
Floating around in space
