Momma Knows
By Jerry E. Johnson
Verse 1
Well when I was a young boy, growin' up in that small town,
I guess I took for granted, that Momma was always around,
well she cooked and cleaned, and kept us safe,
just like most mamas do,
but to tell the truth I don't remember sayin' thank you,
but Momma knows
Chorus
Momma knows when I'm hurtin', and Momma knows when I'm scared,
and when I'm sad and lonely, I know my Momma's always there,
even though the good Lord, took her home so long ago,
I know she's watchin' me through Heavens' windows,
and Momma knows
Verse 2
Well when I was only thirteen, my Momma passed away,
she left before I could tell her, so much I had to say,
I never told her just how much I cared, I never really showed my love,
but I know she's watchin' me from up above, and Momma knows
Bridge
Well I know the day will come, when we'll be together again,
but I'll have to go on livin', and believin' until then,
that Momma knows
