Nascent Truths...
---
Intro Lyrics:
From sky to earth
My soul is falling
Into my body
It's time for birth
---
Verse 1:
In between earth and sky
I'm floating beneath the blue
All tangled up in green

Chorus:
I run to the river
I run to the lake
I run to the creek

I run to the river
Run to the lake
Run to the creek
Throw myself in
Wash away my sins
Start my life again

I run to the river
Run to the lake
Run to the creek
Throw myself in
Wash away my sins
Cleanse my soul
Free my heart
Fill my mind with nascent truths
Leave my past far behind

Verse 2:
With arms out hands open wide
Walking into life's high tide
I cross over love's great divide
---
Bridge 1:
Standing at the edge of the river
I contemplate life before me
Standing at the edge of the lake
I contemplate death after me
Standing at the edge of the creek
I walk straight into the heart of life's flow
---
Verse 3:
Baptismal waters beneath my feet
Bound hands counting time
Saints call me to the edge of hope

Chorus:
I run to the river
I run to the lake
I run to the creek

I run to the river
Run to the lake
Run to the creek
Throw myself in
Wash away my sins
Start my life again

I run to the river
Run to the lake
Run to the creek
Throw myself in
Wash away my sins
Cleanse my soul
Free my heart
Fill my mind with nascent truths
Leave my past far behind

Verse 4:
With all my sins babtized away
I emerge from waters, naked soul
Drenched head to toe, free from all
---
Bridge 2:
Emerging from the river
Contemplating life before me
Emerging from the lake
Contemplating death after me
Emerging from the creek
Reborn into the heart of life's flow
---
Verse 5:
I lay my flesh upon the earth
Leave behind all that reminds
To walk upon an unmarked path

Chorus:
I run to the river
I run to the lake
I run to the creek

I run to the river
Run to the lake
Run to the creek
Throw myself in
Wash away my sins
Start my life again

I run to the river
Run to the lake
Run to the creek
Throw myself in
Wash away my sins
Cleanse my soul
Free my heart
Fill my mind with nascent truths
Leave my past far behind

Verse 6:
All tangled up in green
I'm floating beneath the blue
In between earth and sky
---
Outro Lyrics:
It's time for death
Out of my body
My soul is falling
From earth to sky
