Hey-Hi

Chorus
Hey Broke! Get off my porch!
Off my purse, and pot!
Who let you in? Tell me! Who?!

Verse 1(Response)
Recall the purse you bought at dawn
On the day you went to Tricky’s Store?
With funds you knew you never had,for
A dress you know you’ll never wear?

Verse 2
And oh! Your trip to Sky’s restaurant
That serves its meal with plates from Mars
Because you felt the need to show
The world, how much you’re truly worth.

Verse 3
And remind me of the final one,
The most recent of them all
The car you bought at Dorky's Lot,
That costs you thrice your annual Check!

Broke! That Must Be You!

Chorus:
I could eat this all day without a guilt
Even when my guts may disapprove,
I know the power that comes with sweet,
Sour, fun, and a tingling bud all in one.

Verse 1:
I often crave a rare relish
Of sour grapes, honey and lime,
Frozen and candied with one accord
As a fun sweet and sour snack.

Verse 2:
Most times I love to eat some fish
Mackerel, spicy grilled with some sides,
Served hot on a very chilly night,
To calm my nerves as I munch till the end.

Verse 3:
And sometimes I settle for a meal of corn,
Made with tradition from the very scratch,
Paired with cakes made out of beans,
Deep fried in Olive, Onion and lots of love.

My Taste Bud Tingles.

Childhood was a time without worries,
Ate anything that popped in the mind.
Cried to gain attention at the slightest,
Innocence was the core of existence.

Seeing everyone as equal, kind and sane,
Choosing to love all and sundry regardless,
Whilst looking forward to continue this
Cycle, with hopes it gets better with years.

Five years down the lane of life, we
Learnt the truth that lay within, that
The core of being a child was carried on
The backs of adults who paid the price.

Now you’re saddled with the same fate
To return a favor that was given for free,
To teach a child what it means to be them,
At a cost you’ll have to bear.

Tales Of An Adult

Choose to live your life in full,
Regardless of what the world may say.
Pledge to give your dreams a life,
Only you can make to come alive.

Dare to dream the impossible
And learn how to make it possible
Taking each step as it comes, a time
Propelling yourself towards your goal.

There are times you’ll fall along
The path you’ve set to own your dreams
The world would laugh in we told you so,
But never let a dream down at young.

And you’ll come to learn the fact
That the world quickly moves along
And will praise you without a doubt
When you’ve learnt to lift your dream.

The World Would Move Along.

We often do what it takes
To get that job with every breath
And clock-in and out the way it asks
Because we need to buy a loaf.

We choose to work as hard as rock
Because we hope to rise at work
For a raise we think we need
To buy other things besides a loaf.

The harder we work the profit comes
But gets to learn this doesn’t count
Knowing the gain for hard work is more
Work with a thought of being invaluable.

So you chose not to care for self again
Not to take charge of your mental health
Until the day a breakdown comes to stay
And find your seat is quick to fill.

A Job Lives Long.

When your lives decides to hit
The end we thought was far
What words would be used to
Tell your tale of time spent here?

I see our sojourn here more like a test
A vacation, a visit to a market place
Where we buy everything they may have
Available until it’s time to return home.

How you lived your life would tell a
Lot about how the very ending might be
If dying lonely would be your lot,
Or surrounded with tears of care and love.

When Life Hits Its End

Chorus:
So when faith shakes and you want to trust,
But feel a little doubt, Tell God, don’t let it slide.

Verse 1:
There are days we think we trust,
But tend to have a spike of doubt
In God’s ability and power to save.

Verse 2:
Other days, our faith is strong
Unshaken, and comforting and
Fully trusting God’s ability to save.

Verse 3:
In all, God is not blind to the state
of our faith in Him.He knows our thoughts,
Everyone of them, no matter how small.
