LYRIC FOR SALE

By LitArVision

Childhood was a time without worries,
Ate anything that popped in the mind.
Cried to gain attention at the slightest,
Innocence was the core of existence.

Seeing everyone as equal, kind and sane,
Choosing to love all and sundry regardless,
Whilst looking forward to continue this
Cycle, with hopes it gets better with years.

Five years down the lane of life, we
Learnt the truth that lay within, that
The core of being a child was carried on
The backs of adults who paid the price.

Now you’re saddled with the same fate
To return a favor that was given for free,
To teach a child what it means to be them,
At a cost you’ll have to bear.
