LYRIC FOR SALE

By LitArVision

We often do what it takes
To get that job with every breath
And clock-in and out the way it asks
Because we need to buy a loaf.

We choose to work as hard as rock
Because we hope to rise at work
For a raise we think we need
To buy other things besides a loaf.

The harder we work the profit comes
But gets to learn this doesn’t count
Knowing the gain for hard work is more
Work with a thought of being invaluable.

So you chose not to care for self again
Not to take charge of your mental health
Until the day a breakdown comes to stay
And find your seat is quick to fill.
