As I walk through this world
My footsteps echoing in the silence
I see man hating man
I see strife and rage and violence

And what is it, I think
That creates this separation
This need to dominate the other
The walls and barbed wire and hatred

The bombs and the armour
Rapacious power and obfuscation
All funding the agendas
Young people dying for their nations

Where are the leaders we need?
Where is the integrity through deeds?
Where is our hope and faith?
Where is our love and freedom?

STOP!

WAIT!

BREATHE!

THINK!

FEEL!

COMPASSION!

EMPATHY!

PEACE!

Do you think it's possible?
That we could make this leap?
Do you think it's possible?
That world peace could be real?

Anything is possible
Magic and miracles are real
We can all make the choice for peace
We can all be part of a new deal

A deal where every life is precious
A deal where everyone is free
A deal where we respect one another
A deal where integrity is a seal

We are all the leaders we need
We can all show integrity through deeds
We can all hold on to our hope and faith
We can all embrace our love and freedom

Then I can walk through this new world
My footsteps echoing in the peace
I'll see humans being kind to all life
I'll see love and light and meaning
