Don’t bet your bottom dollar when you’re down to your last dime
Don’t say you’ll be a minute when there isn’t any time
Don’t wonder when you’re happy when you are you’ll know for sure
Don’t realize when it’s too late to close and lock the door
Cause there’s no time for living like right now
For yesterday’s over and gone
And no matter what you say
Tomorrow’s so far away
We to the present belong
Don’t try to understand the things that the mystics leave alone
Don’t ever covet anything you can’t afford to own
Don’t ever take for granted all the things that others feel
Just try to be yourself instead of someone who ain’t real
Don’t compromise yourself until there’s nothing left to give
Don’t satisfy yourself with less than all you want to live
Don’t underestimate the power of avaricious greed
Remember that the mighty oak started with a seed
Don’t stand around complaining if you’re at all to blame
Just keep in mind that all mankind gets wet out in the rain
Don’t hesitate till it’s too late and you will have to lose
If you’re no fool just play it cool and think before you choose
