I Should Have Known

[Verse 1]
You stepped to me like
You're a righteous dude,
Bought candies and flowers, took me out for food.

[Verse 2]
I should have known You were playing games,
Adding me as one to your list of names.
Saying all the things you knew I wanted to hear,
Without any regard because you didn't care.

[Chorus]
You thought you were a player and that you played me,
But this is a place player, you don't wanna be.
Telling your friends.
She's just an easy ride,
After stirring my emotions deep inside.
But soon you'll find out, soon you will see
If you don't know who I am, then Google me!
Ohoooo! Ohoooo! Google me!

[Verse 3]
Go ahead, have your laughs, at my expense,
Do you think that was nice, do you think that makes sense?
So you think you're clever but you'll soon be paid,
I hope you can take it when you next get played.

[Verse 4]
So if you think it's over and you've won the game,
Destroyed my reputation and tarnished my name.
If you think you've won, then baby you're a fool,
Sweet boy, this is lesson one of your first days of school.

[Chorus]
You thought you were a player and that you played me,
But this is a place player, you don't wanna be.
Telling your friends.
She's just an easy ride,
After stirring my emotions deep inside.
But soon you'll find out, soon you will see
If you don't know who I am, then Google me!
Ohoooo! Ohoooo! Google me!

[Bridge]
I'm the kind of woman you better step right,
Cuz I become a beast, one full of spite.

[Chorus]
You thought you were a player and that you played me,
But this is a place player, you don't wanna be.
Telling your friends.
She's just an easy ride,
After stirring my emotions deep inside.

[Outro]
This ain't over, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Google Me!

[Verse 1:]
You've been walking on this tightrope, trying not to fall,
Either I'm your everything or nothing at all.
I can't go on wondering, what I mean to you,
My heart keeps guessing if this love is true.

[Chorus:]
Connect the dots and make it all make sense.
For too long now you've been sitting on the fence
When you think about it? It's really a shame
For too long now, you've played this game.
Oh I'd be happy if you'd let me know,
If you don't want me, then let me go.

[Verse 2:]
We’ve danced around these feelings, like shadows on the wall,
I'm praying for some light now to reveal it all.
All these mixed signals leaves me feeling confused,
So taken for granted and so misused.

[Chorus:]
Connect the dots and make it all make sense.
For too long now you've been sitting on the fence
When you think about it? It's really a shame
For too long now, you've played this game.
Oh I'd be happy if you'd let me know,
If you don't want me, then let me go.

[Verse 3:]
So tell me if you love me or let me go,
I'm tired of these games, I just need to know.
Do you feel the same, or is this for show?
Let me into your life or let me go.

[Chorus:]
Connect the dots and make it all make sense.
For too long now you've been sitting on the fence
When you think about it? It's really a shame
For too long now,
You've played this game.
Oh I'd be happy if you'd let me know,
If you don't want me, then let me go.

[Bridge:]
I've been patient, I've been kind,
Searching for the truth I can't find.
Now it's time to draw the line, Is it love or just a lie?

[Chorus:]
Connect the dots and make it all make sense.
For too long now you've been sitting on the fence
When you think about it? It's really a shame
For too long now, you've played this game.
Oh I'd be happy if you'd let me know,
If you don't want me, then let me go.

Let Me Know

[Verse 1]
I’m walking through this valley
where the shadows grow tall,
I’m reaching for your hand Lord
Cause I’m afraid to fall.
The noise is getting louder
And my spirit’s feeling low
So I turn to you saviour
because there’s nowhere else to go.

[Chorus]
Lord, can you hear me when I call?
My back’s against the wall.
And I don’t know what else to do.
So Jesus please! Help me once again,
Through the hurt and the pain.
And set my spirit free,
So that I can be everything you said I would be.

[Verse 2]
I’ve tried so hard to fight this battle on my own,
But your spirit keeps telling me my child you’re not alone.
I’m feeling tired now, and a little weak,
But I’m holding on just to hear you speak.
So father here I am on bended knees,
Asking you one more time, can you help me please!

[Chorus]
Lord, can you hear me when I call?
My back’s against the wall.
And I don’t know what else to do.
So Jesus please! Help me once again,
Through the hurt and the pain.
And set my spirit free,
So that I can be everything you said I would be.

[Verse 3]
My burden seem too hard to bear,
Trapped within a system that seems to go nowhere.
And It feels like I’m going under water
But I have to be strong for my daughter,
And even though it's hard to see the light,
Lord, you're the only one who can make it right.

[Chorus]
Lord, can you hear me when I call?
My back’s against the wall.
And I don’t know what else to do.
So Jesus please! Help me once again,
Through the hurt and the pain.
And set my spirit free,
So that I can be everything you said I would be.

[Bridge]
Every chain is breaking, every mountain has to move,
when I’m walking in rhythm to your Spirit's groove.
So touch me Lord Jesus and make me whole,
Visit this situation and take control! (Take control!)

[Chorus]
[Explosive energy, Big emotional finish]
Lord, can you hear me when I call?
My back’s against the wall.
And I don’t know what else to do.
So Jesus please! Help me once again,
Through the hurt and the pain.
And set my spirit free,
So that I can be everything you said I would be.

[Outro]
[Vocal Ad-libs, Slowing down]
Lord, can you hear me?
I really need you...

[Chorus]

You're just too demanding to suit my tase.
You always want, you always need,
So I can't deal wit your constant greed.

On Ya Run

[Verse 1]
With you by my side,
Everything feels right.
Even though I'm afraid,
Of the bumps in the night.
You're the perfect gentleman,
In all that you do,
It's almost as if,
You're too good to be true.

[Verse 2]
So I'm treading lightly,
With a cautions heart,
In this new relationship,
That’s just about to start.

[Chorus]
Oh what a man,
What a good man you are!
Never have I seen a man,
Like you so far.
Oh what a man!
How amazing to see!
A man who is totally in love with me.
Oh what a man!
A wonderful man!

[Verse 3]
I have to admit I wasn't expecting this,
All the others before were just hit and miss.
But you’re the real deal, the real McCoy,
You are all man, and not a little boy.

[Verse 4]
Simply amazing in all that you do,
You sure know how to make a girl, feel new.
Where have you been, all of my life,
If you asked me today I’d be your wife

[Chorus]
Oh what a man,
What a good man you are!
Never have I seen a man,
Like you so far.
Oh what a man!
How amazing to see!
A man who is totally in love with me.
Oh what a man!

[Bridge]
You make me feel like a giddy school girl,
The way how you totally rock my world.

Oh what a man!
How amazing to see!

Or look at my hurt with such disdain.
I had hoped that it was just a phase,
That some day soon you would change your ways.
Now I am left here on my own,
With no one to blame, cause I should have known.

[Bridge]
What did I do, why me?
I want my heart back can't you seeee!

[Chorus]
I should have known you’d do this to me,
Every indication was there to see.
The way you casually smiled at my pain,
Or look at my hurt with such disdain.
I had hoped that it was just a phase,
That some day soon you would change your ways.
Now I am left here on my own,
With no one to blame, cause I should have known.

[Outro]
I should have known!

But soon you'll find out, soon you will see
If you don't know who I am, then Google me!
Ohoooo! Ohoooo! Google me!

Lord Can You Hear Me

About Me

Bio

"Music flows in my veins. Growing up in the Bahamas, I was raised on the sounds of my grandmother's gospel group and my mother's nationally recognized voice. I even got to share in her success, co-writing a couple of local favorites. But my true passion lies in the power of words. Poetry has been my sanctuary since childhood, and now, as a lyricist, I'm finding new ways to paint pictures with language. The rise of AI music has been a revelation, finally giving my words the sound they deserve. I'm excited to collaborate and create songs that resonate, both artistically and emotionally. Let's see where this musical journey takes us!"

CV/History

Co-wrote 2 songs "The Blacker Da Berry" & "I Win" with and for my late mom Priscilla Rollins. Just for local consumption.
