Can't remember what I said or where I've been
Just like someone took a great big knife
Cut a piece right out of my life
Don't know how I got in

I did the town last night
Now I'm hurtin in the light of day
I parked my car but how far
Is it out in front or two blocks away
Mixin up that double scotch and gin
I don't need nobody else to do me in

There's a reason for this dried blood in my hair

Having conversations at a party
Making plans for future kinds of fun
Never dreaming that I won't remember
A single word I said or what I done
Bouncing off the guard rail on the road
Won't believe it till the morning when I'm told

I see a lady lying beside me in the morning
Looks like someone that I'd never seen before
Can't remember where or when it was I found her
Don't know what we did or who unlocked the door
