Broken Seals (come And See)
By Michael Pogson
Verse 1 – The First Seal
Come and see!
Thunder cracks, and I see the tracks,
Come and see, said he,
Fallen into submission, conquest was always the mission,
A pale sky at dawn, a new day is born,
With nothing but a bow, no arrows in sight,
They didn’t even put up a fight.
Standing tall above the town,
Wearing nothing but a hollow crown.
Chorus
Come and see!
This cosmic terror—
The Four Horsemen,
We're your burden.
For when you commit treason,
We'll cause devastation
When you defy Revelation...
Come and see!
Get ready for this cosmic terror—
COME AND SEE!
Verse 2 – The Second Seal
Come and see!
Crimson skies, filled with lies,
Peace ripped away with fire in their eyes.
Wars cry out as the people scream and shout.
A great sword drips with blood,
Before it swung where anyone stood.
Come and see, said he,
Emotions I will deprive
As you burn your brothers alive.
Chorus
Come and see!
This cosmic terror—
The Four Horsemen,
We're your burden.
For when you commit treason,
We'll cause devastation
When you defy Revelation...
Come and see!
Get ready for this cosmic terror—
COME AND SEE!
Verse 3 – The Third Seal
Come and see!
Blackened sky, watched as you starve and die.
Come and see, said he,
Scales in hand, I'll give you scraps for a day,
What do you say?
All I ask is everything you earned this day.
Hurt not the oil and wine, so the rich can dine,
Laughing as the beggars pine,
Can’t see the world begin to fade,
Let them lie in the beds they made.
Chorus
Come and see!
This cosmic terror—
The Four Horsemen,
We're your burden.
For when you commit treason,
We'll cause devastation
When you defy Revelation...
Come and see!
Get ready for this cosmic terror—
COME AND SEE!
Verse 4 – The Fourth Seal
Come and see!
Silence cries out, sword in hand, souls all about.
Flesh falling from a rotting sky,
It's enough to make a grown man cry.
Hell follows behind, gathering all the souls it can find,
It won’t falter,
Laughing at those buried under the altar.
Whether they fled or they're dead,
Come and see, said he
Nature became the enemy and everyone paid the penalty.
Chorus
Come and see!
This cosmic terror—
The Four Horsemen,
We're your burden.
For when you commit treason,
We'll cause devastation
When you defy Revelation...
Come and see!
Get ready for this cosmic terror—
COME AND SEE!
Verse 5 – The Fifth Seal
The white robes fall, sacrificing it all,
A bloodstained altar pleading for more,
They weren’t told how much blood to pour.
Cries echo from below
But they have to wait another season before they can go.
Choosing martyrdom to reach heaven’s kingdom,
Crying for their souls to be taken,
Wondering if they've been forsaken.
They can do nothing but pry,
As silence falls from the sky.
Chorus
Come and see!
This cosmic terror—
The Four Horsemen,
We're your burden.
For when you commit treason,
We'll cause devastation
When you defy Revelation...
Come and see!
Get ready for this cosmic terror—
COME AND SEE!
Verse 6 – The Sixth Seal
The skies tear open like a scroll,
Shown revelations but didn't read the stipulations.
The earth shakes to its core,
The Lamb gentle no more,
Silence answers with a roar.
The sun goes blind, the moon turns red,
Everyone hides wishing they were dead.
Stars fall from the sky as the angels cry,
They grab their instrument, for this is divine judgment.
Bridge – Before the Seventh Seal
“…and silence covered the heavens…”
A whisper before the final breath…
A moment held, while angels wept—
Then came the sound… the sound of death.
Verse 7 – The Seventh Seal
Come and see!
This is what we've been waiting for,
As the four cry out for more...
Met with silence, a holy pause,
A calm before the storm, as seven angels form,
Trumpets in hand, to quell this once holy land.
Sending them straight to their tomb
With a sense of impending doom.
Heaven's greatest construction
Built for earth’s destruction.
Holy fire rains from the sky,
As the angels watch them all die.
Final Chorus
Come and see!
This divine terror—
No more warnings,
Only burdens...
You defied Revelation,
Now comes devastation...
Come and see!
You begged for mercy, but now comes
fury—
COME. AND. SEE.
