Summary
This is a full time, seasonal position. 

This position will: play piano for chorus rehearsals; run subtitles for some productions; play coachings for stage directors and music staff; possibly play keyboards in the pit.

The successful candidate will gain firsthand knowledge of the music staff process and operation of a professional “Rep” opera company. The fast paced, demanding work environment will help them gain critical prioritization, organization, and collaboration skills. 

Required Knowledge and Skills:
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, detail oriented, possess excellent organizational skills and have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Have very strong piano skills (audition consists of playing & singing act one of Puccini’s “La bohème”); have as strong foreign language skills; have a desire to learn about conducting; wants to gain firsthand knowledge about the running of a very busy opera company

Dates: January 9, 2017 through March 26, 2017. Candidate must be able to be in residence for the entire season.

Season stipend of $2,000.00 total; shared housing for one provided. No pets allowed.
