[size=medium][font=Merriweather, serif]We invite outstanding applications for a one year full-time contract faculty position beginning August 18, 2017.

Major responsibilities: teach music theory courses as part of the music composition and theory curriculum for the 2017-2018 academic year. Teaching assignments will include computer music, acoustic composition, music theory, and other courses based on the expertise of the candidate and the needs of the School of Music.

[size=medium][font=Merriweather, serif][size=medium][font=Merriweather, serif]The School of Music offers bachelors, masters, artist diploma and doctoral level degrees and has an enrollment of approximately 400 undergraduate and 100 graduate students. Completed in 2004, the Music Instruction Building features a start-of-the-art concert hall and recording facilities. A city of 70,000 residents, Muncie offers a vibrant downtown, cultural and historical sites, and many recreational amenities.

Minimum Qualifications
Completed master’s degree or higher from an accredited institution and a documented history of professional activity in the area of assignment.

Preferred Qualifications
Completed doctoral degree or equivalent terminal degree, demonstrated ability to recruit and retain quality students on the collegiate level, exceptional creative/scholarly background.
