I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I moved to Waco, Texas to attend Baylor University where I studied Accounting and Management. During my junior year, I started writing lyrics after discovering Bernie Taupin. Before this, I exclusively wrote poetry. Since then, I have entered lyric writing contests, posted lyrics and poetry on writing forums, and had a few of my lyrics put to music. My favorite lyricists are Neil Peart, Keith Reid, Bob Dylan, Robert Hunter, Leonard Cohen, and Bernie Taupin. I joined Songbay to gain more exposure for my work, collaborate with composers and songwriters, and continue to improve as a lyricist.
