MUSIC FOR SALE

Standing in the surf, against a rolling wave.
Its power fell upon me, as my footing slipped away.
       The impact knocked me back a bit, but could not cast me down.
And as its power lessened, I looked for solid ground.
 
There are times, within my life,
That its been hard for me,
To stand upright, against a storm,
Of waves of thoughts, against my own.
 
  Mistakes I've made, along the way,
     Still torture me, throughout the day,
But they will pass, as pass they must,
I look for words, in which to trust.
 
In my mind, my life I see,
And all the dreams, how it can be.
To live the dream, well, its up to me.
A course I set, within the sea.
 
I have found, a solid spot,
To make a stand, against the thoughts,
Of men who stand, on shady grounds,
      They raise their voices, to make their sounds.
 
Confusing voices, they don't perceive,
Why life abounds, within the sea.
The word they missed, could save their life.
But their all in love, with their worldly lives.
 
    Listen not, unto the voice,
     Which tries to take, away your choice,
The words you need, are in your grasp,
     Their singing songs, will make you glad.
 
Adventures both, far and wide.
I float both with, and against the tides.
But in trouble times, I'll anchor down,
And sink my feet into, solid ground.
 
So set a course, and fix your way,
To solid ground, and a brighter day.
Don't get lost, in the raging sea,
Where you lose the dream, of what can be.
