Spring brought romance, as a seed to a flower
Summer showered rays on nature’s delicate towers
The depth of a poor mind, the past won’t abstain,
Drawing out the blues of a sad man once again.

Reds of a sunset, the clouds creamy white
The dark black cold of a moonless frosty night
Hues and shadows, highlighting the frigid plight
Depths of a sad man’s soul, blues his only light.

Autumn came quick with the falling of leaves
Changes to her heart slowly dropped me to my knees
What could I change or do, to keep her fully mine?
It’s the blues of a sad man, she wouldn’t toe the line.

Reds of a sunset, or clouds creamy white
The dark black cold of a moonless frosty night
Hues and shadows, highlighting the frigid plight
Depths of a sad man’s soul, blues his only light.

Winter seemed to thaw, but not the one I knew
Snow covered everything, but not the warmth of you
The frigid ice of winter warmed so ever slowly
Yet the blues of a sad man are cold and always lonely.

Reds of a sunset, or clouds creamy white
The dark black cold of a moonless frosty night
Hues and shadows, highlighting the frigid plight
Depths of a sad man’s soul, blues his only light.
