Most kids looked up to those movie stars, athletes or rock stars. Calling them their heroes. My hero was you. Those night classes you never thought you would get through to fathering 3 more pulling campers from park to park to john boat to the river we go. Thank god for that corvette that brought us back together.

The day came when you saw me no longer a boy but a man you raised standing on a deck of a ship. One you taught right from wrong, one to stand strong. The one you hope and prayed would once find the light as you said. One that your father would look down and see the work you did to make him proud as you did every day.
