Everyone's searching for something, they're not satisfied with what they've got.
The good old days when we thought we had nothing, we actually had a lot.

Like a house with only one bathroom with three bedrooms and one hall.
The family only had one phone and it was attached to the kitchen wall.

But life back then was so different, we had no clue we were living without.
People looked out for each other, and we were happier then no doubt.

We made our own entertainment, playing outside till the street lights came on.
Or we watched the family's four channel TV and at midnight those channels were gone.

We rode bikes for transportation, to get us where we needed to go.
Cause most families only had one car and dad drove it to work and then back home.

But life back then was so different, we had no clue we were living without.
People looked out for each other, and we were happier then no doubt.

The news wasn't something we focused on, most people didn't have a clue.
Getting older was never the problem, it was something to look forward to.

If only, we could go back for a day, to that place we all once new.
Life back then was so simple, people were much friendlier too.

The good old days and the good old ways have disappeared into the past.

If only, we could go back for a day, to that place we all once new.
