Iron Man is Marvel.
Batman is DC.
Superheroes were created.
By people who are free.
How could he do it?
How does he dare?
To give us a new superhero.
30 years after Superman flew in the air.
Maybe it was during his teens.
And Third period lunch.
Bullied and teased.
That memory and a hunch.
As teachers looked away.
Five kids now eating his sandwich.
No one lends a hand.
His English teacher ignores. To him, she's a bitch.
Lunch is now over.
She yelled. Get up, Stan.
You're weak and pathetic.
A Sorry young man.
He continued his day.
Hungry and sad.
That no one helped him.
And that made him mad.
It was that memory
20 years later, he never forgot.
This world needs more superheroes.
So he gave it a shot.
With pencil in hand.
In months of trying.
One face he drew.
Had a mask made of iron.
Since Superman could fly.
He created a man for land.
To stand up to the bullies.
And help put that sandwich back in the right hand.
