The long weekend is here
Time to pack up the truck
It’s going to be hot and dry
So no reason I’d get stuck
On that back dirt road
Headin to the river bank
Tonight the music gets loud
As we listen to some Hank

Under clear Texas skies
Time spent with my friends
Just American made trucks
Ain’t no Mercedes Benz
Nights by the fire
And days on the river
When it comes to a good time
Mother Nature delivers

Jumping from the bank
Into the swimmin hole
BarBCue some steaks
Over red hot coals
Throwin out a line
Maybe catch me a fish
Here is where I’d be
If God gave me one wish

Three days ain’t enough
Not sure where to begin
To enjoy what the river gives
It’s hard to take it all in

I love this beautiful land
The place I want to stay

The fresh morning air
Always smells good to me
Birds soaring high
Above the russlin trees
Going on a hike
Surrounded by what is great
For more time in this country
I really can’t wait
