Hello, good-bye to long lost friends
Who leave us just so they may come again

The merry rounds of stories told

For we are born without a care
Except to have a warm breast near
To suckle til our belly's full
In life's unfolding miracle
But as the days and week's go by
We learn to crawl and then to walk
And seek the wherefore and the why
We learn to think and start to talk

We raise our voices to be heard
In spoken then in written word
A few more gifted than the rest
Fly forth as poets from the nest
