Out back behind the barn, weeds up to the knees,
Sat Grandpa’s old Chevy, rust kissed by the breeze.
Dad said, "Son, let’s bring her back, just like she used to shine,"
With grease-stained hands, we worked through time.

Each dent told a story, each scratch held a tale,
Of long-forgotten highways and dusty gravel trails.
Dad smiled and said, "It’s more than just a car,
Restoration starts in the heart, no matter how far."

Like that Chevy, I've been down broken roads,
Carrying the weight, a heavy load.
But Jesus stepped in, restored my soul,
Made me brand new, made me whole.

The engine roared to life, the wheels began to spin,
Each bolt we tightened felt like healing deep within.
Dad said, "Son, don’t forget, what’s broken can be whole,
When love’s the driving force, it’ll mend a weary soul."

So when the miles get heavy, and life leaves its scars,
I’ll think of that Chevy and the man who fixed my heart.
It’s not about the shine, it’s the journey you embrace,
Finding grace in every step, and every rugged place.

Like that Chevy, I've been down broken roads,
Carrying the weight, a heavy load.
But Jesus stepped in, restored my soul,
Made me brand new, made me whole.
