I had written this after getting into the car with a drunk driver who was also a good friend. I wrote it as a warning because he had made such a habit of driving drunk. It is a tale of a young man who goes out for a joy ride while drunk and ends up hitting a kid. He dumps the kid into some body of water ( "Another one for the fishes".. "Oh yes he did") before being haunted by what he had done for the rest of his life. ( "one for a glimpse of living it, same one for the stint of guilt and grit".) I could see it on a commercial or some type of ad against drunk driving or maybe just a badass song on someone's record or demo tape.
