Don’t think of me as gone, for I am here still.
When you think of me, and I hope you often will,
You are keeping me alive, in your memory,
So I can’t be gone if you’re still thinking of me.

I hope if you think of me, just once in a while,
That it will always be with pleasure and a smile
For all the things we did, and the times that we shared,
Things that only happened because each of us cared.

Your company always gave me so much pleasure,
Those were times I wanted to keep and to treasure.
Think about tomorrow, perhaps the day after,
Maybe we’ll meet, and again you’ll hear my laughter.

When I was here, you were imprinted on my mind,
And those pleasant thoughts of you I could always find,
They are with me still, they are part of my spirit,
With me forever, for all time without limit.

I will only be gone, when you’ve forgotten me,
And I am lost forever from your memory,
When no one has memories that I hoped they’d save,
When nobody is left to lay flowers on my grave.
