White Sand Christmas
By Erin Neville
I need a white sand Christmas, It’s all I’m asking for
I’m tired of being cold, I want to be on shore
Don’t want to hang up stockings, or mail out any cards
I just want to escape, not decorate my yard
We’ll string lights up in the palms, and throw some Christmas records on,
build a snowman in the sand, take a walk while holding hands,
gaze across the ocean view standing oh so close to you,
yes that’s all that’s on my list, Santa, it’s my only gift.
Don’t invite me to your cookie exchange, it’s not it my plans right now
I’ve made time for shuffleboard, drinks, and brunch at the Island Cow.
I’m not a scrooge, or a miser Per se, I just need some time to get away.
Some time for myself, some time to connect, some time to remember, some time to forget.
We’ll string lights up in the palms, and throw some Christmas records on,
build a snowman in the sand, take a walk while holding hands,
gaze across the ocean view standing oh so close to you,
yes that’s all that’s on my list, Santa, it’s my only gift.
Christmas is yours to make what you will, don’t skip the joy don’t miss the feel.
Don’t be afraid to seek what you need, new traditions are fun, just wait and see.
You’ll start the New year shiny and bright, baby enjoy the ride, relax don’t fight
We’ll string lights up in the palms, and throw some Christmas records on
build a snowman in the sand, take a walk while holding hands,
gaze across the ocean view standing oh so close to you,
yes that’s all that’s on my list, Santa, it’s my only gift.
