in the confidence of youth.
All in with intention,

Years clipping by as milestones fly,
singularity shelved
and roughly dispersed.
How to discern where you have gone.

Uneven layers scaled away
underneath a hint of who You were.
Undefined & vague without those You grew,
self care now viewed as self indulgence.

the yearning continues to stay in place,
the possibilities continue to expand our place,
we continue to hope there's space.

Support seems less, than when we began,
the self grows fluid as They evolve.
The hive so delicate with Others in tow,
looking for that something to draw you away.

Life simply complicated
and excluding at times,
now far removed yet loosely connected,
we reluctantly begin to release our grip.
