LYRIC FOR SALE

By Alarion Melora

[Chorus]
Judge Hurt Spite Mean Harsh Cruel
Never have a darker heart

[Verse]
Judgement as a knife cutting into their soul
Each cruel word a flame burning hope like coal
Hurt seen in their eyes feeds malicious joy
Triumph as sweet as Odysseus at Troy

[Verse]
Misery delightedly inflicts such needless pain
Hearts scoured so dark no empathy remains
Spreading cycle of hurt infects any willing host
Mankind autological cannot describe the most

[Verse]
Vengeance a reason with no reason or rhyme
I do unto yours as you do unto mine
The other cheek slapped so give no quarter
Tolerance as long as the temper is shorter

[Chorus]
Cruel Harsh Mean Spite Hurt Judge
Never have a darker heart

[Chorus]
Kind Sweet Soft Warm Fair Good
Always have a kinder heart

[Verse]
Light burns away the dark, compassion smothers spite
You don't have to be wrong for me to be right
Paying it forwards settling the bill
Kindness not a gene a matter of will

[Verse]
Words true, kind & required, else golden silence reigns
Kindness spoken soothes emotional cuts and pains
Subtraction lesser, addition always gives more
Behavioural impact of my heart on yours

[Verse]
Helping hands always free kind hearts ask no reward
Perfection never reached ever worth working towards
Life stories written not by us but in others tales
Days end so reached reckoning life on karma scales

[Chorus]
Good Fair Warm Soft Sweet Kind
Always have a kinder heart
Always have a kinder heart
Always have a kinder heart
