i put the kettle on , then sit in my old chair
look out the window ,see if any life's out there
the clock keeps it's pace , while i feel like i'm frozen in time
the room feels quiet in this home of mine
alone in a space you once filled
just an empty house , quiet and still
don't have anyone now
not even my old dog
sat watching the clock and waiting for god
