burn
By Scott Eaton
verse 1
there is something happening in this country today
you keep silencing the people in new ways
pass new laws to fix the problem
just getting worse nothing done
the parents weep for there son
when he was in his hour of need
he was demonised by the police
they were blinded to his pain
let down again and again
chorus
we are one country's people
silenced and not equals
listen to people and learn
if this continues , the country will burn
burn burn
verse 2
this claimed utopia is on its knees
are you deaf or ignorant to peoples pleas
quiet people have had enough
you'r refusal to listen , orders from above
the more you force its your mistake
you are breeding unrest and hate
people are good and want the best
you have pushed this
and created this mess
chorus
burn burn
bridge
you lie and shut people down
people feel rage in once peaceful towns
the more you contain and bottle up
the pressure builds and will erupt
some things you condem are you'r agenda
on others deafening silence , people remember
the lies the cover ups and the narrative you spin
people are awake , change before it begins
chorus
burn burn
one country's people treat us as equals
