Verse 1
I watch the bag slide to the ground,
Spilling fear without a sound.
Threads were frayed, straps gave way,
couldn’t hold it one more day.
So I laid it down, let it go,
Let the shadows start to show.
Verse 2
The contents spilled filled every space,
But I lit the dark with my own grace.
Knots unbound, my body sighed,
All the weight I used to hide.
Faced the fear, you turned away—
But I’m still standing here today.
Chorus
I didn’t crumble, didn’t fade to grey,
found a light to guide my way.
A road now paved with yellow stones,
My blue shoes dance, I’m not alone
As long as I believe in me,
I know I’m alright, I’ll be free.
Verse 3
Blue sky dreamer still calls out,
From the past, through fear and doubt.
I chase the rainbow, trace its line,
To treasure that is truly mine.
Bridge
You didn’t check, you didn’t see,
But I’ve made peace and set it free.
The thing I feared has come to pass,
And still I rise, a stronger lass.
Final Chorus
I didn’t crumble, didn’t fade to grey,
found a light to guide my way.
A road now paved with yellow stones,
My blue shoes dance, I’m not alone.
As long as I believe in me,
I know I’ll be alright; I’ll be free
