What would a cowboy do
By Jed
My hero’s have always been cowboys
Living life on the range
Riding through the searing heat, and driving cattle through pouring rain
Not having anywhere that they call home just a saddle and a fire, and plenty of places to roam
But the day that girl came along and called my name
That look in her eyes, changed the game
[chorus]
And I godda ask myself What would a cowboy do
Would he ride off into the sun, or sit on the porch with you
Would he lean in for a kiss, or make her miss what he’s never done
Would he put a ring on her finger, tie it all up
Or leave it undone
[verse]
Maybe at the end of the day, I can have it both ways.
Give her a kiss and ride away, come home when the sun goes down
Then sit on the porch with her and hang around.
[chorus]
And I godda ask myself What would a cowboy do
Would he ride off into the sun, or sit on the porch with you
Would he lean in for a kiss, or make her miss what he’s never done
Would he put a ring on her finger, tie it all up
Or leave it undone
