LYRIC FOR SALE

By David Rothwell

Oh, the mighty elephant, you are on my mind,
How I'd like to straddle you and take you for a ride,
We will take a journey forth across the barren land
And we'll find the princess that was taken from our hands

Oh, elephant, we'll trample all our foes,
Then we'll get to her in the red brick fort,
Where they kept her for so long without birds and bees,
What we tell her I don't know, maybe that love is free.

Then we'll take a country road through the leafy trees,
Where we'll find our home and dance, in good company.

Oh, elephant - you will live with us
And we'll never let them take
One of your mighty tusks!
