LYRIC FOR SALE

By IOANNIS

The pale dark man takes the stage
He combs the room and emits his gaze
He calls upon the gods and summons the stars
And every time he sings begins a spectral waltz

I saw him once coming to my dream
As elegant as vampires and eyes forever green
And with his pale hand he reached towards me
And grabbed me by my shoulder and shook the mortal out of me

There’s more than flesh and bones
Not much of a believer but his echo pierces me
The veil that’s on the one side was torn and now I see
The pale dark man has paved the way
He buried down my carcass but there is no decay

Ridden and free
From shackles earthly and binds broken by thee
Ascending as the pale hand drags me from the deep
And every time the light rests upon my eyes
The pale dark man casts his shadow then he cries
For he has given what all seek and few shall ever find
To put a leash upon the abyss
And seek the dark to find the light
