Hook

He took all his mistakes and turned them into lessons learned.
Those lessons changed the man inside/
it made him more stern.
Yeah he crashed but he’s grateful that he didn’t crash and burn.
He came out unscathed/
on both feet standing firm.

Saw an opportunity to rebuild/
there was potential.
To turn something good into great/
with keys or pencils.
To turn something good into great/
through instrumentals.
But to turn something good into great/
starts with your mental.

Verse I

Took the time to rebuild/
got my thoughts together.
Learned some things along the way to help me channel the weather.
I saw the rain/
but I know that rain don’t last forever.
Kept it moving/
hoping things will get better.

No more pain.
No more shame.
No more time stuck in chains.
To stay focused
stay aware/
but most importantly stay sane.
Took all the shit that held me back and flushed it out my brain.
I saw the bigger picture so I put it on a frame.

And wrote my name/
to make it official that I'm rebuilt.
Stronger than ever without the glass of milk.
Standing taller than ever like I'm a man on stilts.
But I won’t let you see me fall/
you won’t even you see me tilt.

Now I do things different.
Now I move more efficient.
Investing in my craft/
I’ve been far from consistent.
Some question if it’s true love/
I can’t let you think it isn’t.
I realized I needed work and feel back in an instant.

Verse II

Took what I had and made it better….
It was wiser trying to get myself together.
Before I wasn’t ready/
now I’m ready for whatever…
Took my time and gave it all to my mind/
the real treasure.

Go beyond measure.
Put business before pleasure.
Put family over everything/
cause family’s forever.
I don’t look at no one lesser.
There’s no giving into pressure.
Staying focused on my future/
seeing right passed the extras.

Than maybe one day/
I’ll get to where I want to be.
& If I don’t than I don’t/
at least I took the chance to see.
At least I left my shell and tried to be the best version of me.
At least I tried/
and didn’t beg God to set me free.

I learned at lot at the bottom but I can’t settle for less.
With goals to elevate organically and rise till we blessed.
Take what I earn/
invest.
Sometimes I get no rest.
I still make the bed lay on and I clean my mess.
