You’re our baby girl
And I guess you’ll always be.
You’re the best part of your mother
And a little bit of me.

You see the best in people
You’re funny and your kind
when people say she’s just like you
How could we ever mind?

So I guess it shouldn’t shock us
Now the years have come and gone
In the way you’ve taken on the role
Of a loving, caring mum.

That little hand that once held ours
Now holds one of your own
You’ve flown the nest, and come to rest
In a place that you call home.

That singing and the laughter
That rings out big and loud
Reminds us that we got it right
You really make us proud

Those childhood years can pass so fast
And now that you have grown
You’ll have the chance as we have done
To watch it with your own.

With every little triumph,
you’ll feel that pride inside,
as you watch them take those first few steps
to running round outside.

We’re all part of a journey
We’re all part of God’s plan
He placed upon this spinning rock
A woman and a man.

He created food and water
He gave us night and day.
He sent us down his only son
To show us all the way

And we’re on life’s circle
Generations come and go
Time passes in a heartbeat
The tides they ebb and flow
