There was a time when i guess i trusted people.
Like teachers who would only teach a fact.
But things have changed.
Not always for the better.
And i really wish that we could get that back.

Cos now they teach a man can be a woman.
Just because, they say that’s what they are.
And it’s enough for them to just declare it.
They don’t even need to wear a bra.

And doctors say a man can now get pregnant?
I really think they need a padded room.
I’m pretty sure when I read books about it.
They said that only happened in a womb.

And don't get me started talking 'bout the priesthood.
Supposedly a place of holy joy!
The church has always had their little secrets.
Those priests, they really love a choir boy.

Of course we know we can’t trust politicians.
They’ll say whatever, just to get your vote.
How they know that times are hard for everybody.
They say that we are all in that same boat.

But then their limo takes them to a restaurant.
They wash their wagyu steak down with champagne.
Whilst children go to bed still feeling hungry
And homeless people try to dodge the rain.

So that’s why I think music is important.
Finally, there is something that is real.
The songwriter creates a certain message.
You hear the music and it makes you feel.

Some songs can get you dancing
Whilst others help you chill.
There's no prescription needed.
It’s like a magic pill.

For those few minutes, close your eyes.
And focus on the song.
Forget the lies and cheating
And all the stuff that’s wrong.

Find a song you really like
And store it in your brain.
Then whenever you would like to,
You can play it once again.

If you’re bored or feeling lonely
It’s like a secret friend
Hear the tune and lyrics
From start right through to end.

If music be the food of love
Then the opposite is true.
The love of music is the thing
That feeds you through and through.
