Thief’s
By VMAL
In a world filled with thieves who give pieces,
but they’re too afraid to lose a whole,
just scraps fall from your top,
When your head is already gone.
Dark night, what do you have waiting for me?
The moon, a recurrent present;
stars, your laughing envoys.
For a piece you fight, stolen from another.
You can take, but only in small amounts.
You can’t give, because the shell is void.
You can have, but only debts.
You know why she keeps dancing every day.
All the time I sit and wait,
the gift is time,
and you stole it away.
With my hands empty,
will I be forgotten
in this land of thieves
where life is rotten?
What sense does this world make?
its just like a play.
We the sky that sometimes is filled with rain;
pouring means blessings came, but a drop is left.
Where miracles happen, the world finds laughter.
Nobody cares to help another,
how could you save others,
in a world where theft is a true wonder?
See yourself in the reflection,
the river doesn’t lie.
When it shines back at her,
thief in the sky, only you shine.
All the time I sit and wait,
the gift is time,
and you stole it away.
With my hands empty,
will I be forgotten
in this land of thieves
where love is rotten?
One can only lose when one has.
Chances are, nothing will be torn apart,
just to take as much as you can.
Lonely people, that’s who we all are.
Now,
all the time I sit and wait,
the gift is time,
and you stole it.
With my hands empty,
will I be forgotten
in this land of thieves
where good is rotten?
