Mosaic Madness
By JLILYRX
Let me introduce you to a life that is abstract,
The life I live everyday, a life under attack.
Excluded from the norms of this society,
Never to experience your journey of liberty.
My behavior is confusing, but it’s my reality,
Not sure what’ll be exposed, from by obscure identity.
If you look inside my mind, you’ll see there’s no mistake,
While yours is like a picture, mine’s more like a mosaic.
Need you to understand me, need you to see God’s fate,
We’re really not that different, you got beauty, I got a mental state.
Chorus:
Do you have any idea what it’s like to live this life?
A mind of exploded confusion, thought patterns running rife!
Do you know how isolating it is, when your mind can’t wonder free?
Complicated by the intolerance, of our selfish society!
I’ve tried to get way, run at a hundred miles an hour,
As if to leave my mind behind and it’s dominating power.
I’ve even tried to fix it, by taking a little white pill,
But ended up on holiday, in a psychiatric hospital!
Chorus:
Do you have any idea what it’s like to live this life?
A mind of exploded confusion, thought patterns running rife!
Do you know how isolating it is, when your mind can’t wonder free?
Complicated by the intolerance, of our selfish society!
Desperate for acceptance, you can talk to anyone,
But for me, people just stare, before they turn and run.
I’m sick of living this life, like a discarded total freak,
I need the world to listen, cause they need to hear me speak!
I need to get relief, from this life of hell and torture,
But that will be dictated, by how I’m treated in the future.
People just don’t get it, driven by brown nosed arrogance,
I would like for them to live a day in my existence!
Chorus:
Do you have any idea what it’s like to live this life?
A mind of exploded confusion, thought patterns running rife!
Do you know how isolating it is, when your mind can’t wonder free?
Complicated by the intolerance, of our selfish society!
My meds I often stop taking, when they make me feel sane,
Only to regress, in my mental state time and time again.
I need you to understand, I’m a victim of my mind,
I don’t think that I ask for much, when I ask you to be kind.
My family’s all but gone, cause life became intolerable,
The perfect family vision, I was unable to fulfill.
This world it is diverse and we are not all the same,
My request it is quite simple, ‘respect’ and call me by my name!
When next you’re walking down the street and you see someone like me,
Just for a minute, stop and reflect, on how hard their life must be.
Chorus:
Do you have any idea what it’s like to live this life?
A mind of exploded confusion, thought patterns running rife!
Do you know how isolating it is, when your mind can’t wonder free?
Complicated by the intolerance, of our selfish society!
Mosaic madness, it’s a bloody crazy life,
When you’re mind you can’t control and your thoughts are running rife!
Mosaic madness dominates my every living day,
Just give me some understanding, that’s all I have to say!
Mosaic madness, it’s such a living hell
Please, oh please, someone take me from this living hell.
Mosaic madness … mosaic madness – living hell (fading out)
