I got that fire in my testimony
I walk with God and not this world so I AM never lonely
The wicked tried to bring me in but I’m for heaven only
Ya best believe my foundation’s strong if they ever stoned me
You need advice? Turn to God who’s forever holy
Believe in Christ, and repent thats how we share the glory
I know this world could have you striving for a better story
But when you truly walk with God you’ll live that better story
Never worry, you just pray about everything
Every trouble and every dream
Every goal that’s in ya heart..
Never hurry, knowing God is everything
His will is in every scene
So learn to play ya part..
That’s a bar.. glowing from this light, within me, that’s the Lord
His life that’s in me got me shining brighter than the stars,
Listen…read his Word, do his Word, that’s a start
This is how I love God, I kept his Word up in my heart

It took some time for me to know me
So don’t be acting like you know me
The new me, not the old me
Thank the Lord I met the whole me x 2

I met a lot of people when I wasn’t even me
Seen a lot of evil when I couldn’t even see
fled so many standards that I couldn’t even meet
Running wild with the crowd, but I wasn’t even free
Dimming down my light, but that wasn’t even me
Influenced by the world, man that wasn’t even me
I am so much more than what I thought that I would be
My identity is in the Lord who’s guiding me

It took some time for me to know me
So don’t be acting like you know me
The new me, not the old me
Thank the Lord I met the whole me x 2

The Word of Life renewed my mind, then my aim changed
My brain changed. I see old habits as strange thangs
The old man would see the world and like the same thangs
But I let Jesus take the wheel and then my lane changed
I gotta do it for his Glory that’s what really matters
Jesus is The Way, I turned away from wicked patterns
Jesus is the Lamp unto my feet so I won’t stagger
I’m better than ever. Holy Spirit filled and dapper
