We are a grenade without a pin.
It seems that we have always been.
Don’t know whose hand that we are in.
But soon they will let go; it’ll be the end.

We’re two cloths connected by a thread.
Thought we’d be sewn together but got more ripped instead.
We can add on some weight on each side if we choose.
Eventually one of us bound to break loose.

I don’t want to blow up, I don’t want to break.
But pain feels like a trap that we just can’t escape.
Sometimes it feels like we have lost all of control.
And I want live I want to grow old.

I want to live, but I want you to live with me.
Get passed all of our insecurities.
Right now we’re acting like a car that stalls.
There has been worse problems we have solved.

I want to grow old, but grow old with you.
But why does it feel like we’re a dying fuse.
We decided to tie the knot not tie a noose.
Together we can jump through burning hoops (Um, but without that noose)

I don’t want to blow up, I don’t want to break.

I want to know what it’ll be like just the two of us
Life is too short doesn’t mean that it isn’t tough.
I know we’ll both keep making mistakes
But that is the risk we chose to take

Like ice I know we can be cold
But even ice melts don’t you know
With you I want live, I want to grow old.
