We all ask ourselves in time,
What is the purpose of being alive?
What is the reason good enough,
To go on and ramble through life?
We all had our ups and downs,
Yes, we tasted bitter and sweet.
We all made pledges and vows,
A lot of them we couldn’t keep.
But then you get that moment in life,
To hold them in your arms
For the first time.
Overwhelmed with joy
You recognize,
It has mommy’s nose and daddy’s eyes.
That’s the moment you realize…
They are the purpose
Of being alive,
They are the reason
We ramble through life,
They are the hope,
They are the light,
Changing our grey
Into flamboyant art.
With every smile
Each hug they make,
They give us love,
Kind you can never fake.
Then we surrender
And we’re ready to take,
Pledges and vows
We will never break.
You are our flamboyant art…
You may feel you’re useless and weak,
Think that you’ll never reach so far.
