I walk through the door to silence/no laughing or hugs wait for me/just a t.v. dinner and a six pack of beer/no how was your day/or daddy I missed you/no can you Tuck me in to go to bed/
For all the days gone by/without you here with me/all the how was your school days/or how much you mean to me/ just a phone call or two when it's convenient for you/ a broken dad/
I tried to call on y'all's birthdays/but there was no answer let's just say/all the time wishing y'all were right by my side/ instead I have a picture of y'all to keep me strong/ with everything I have I still hang on.
