While camping in the forest,
I smelled a skunky scent.
A wild man from the mountains
Visited my tent.
The night was erie quiet.
No no frogs or chirping birds.
thumping through the trees,
a growl & whistle heard

Half human, half gorilla
Froze in fear I watched.
It’s not a hoax,
I saw a Sasquatch

8 foot tall and burley
Body full of hair.
As he approached
Believe me, I was scared.

Beard down to his belly.
Six fingers on each hand.
His feet were enormous.
Walked upright like a man.

Half human, half gorilla

I saw a Sasquatch.

He stomped and growled
Then pole vaulted a tree
I watched him and wondered
if he was watching me.
Shaking in my boots
Knees getting weak
swallowed my tobacco,
ran into the creek.

Not a monkey suit of muscles
A shadow on a tree.
Not a bear, or ape or
Mama in a hoodie.

Bigfoot, Yeti
abominable snowman.
They’ve taken blurry photos
Got freaked out turned and ran

No one believes the stories.
Every case dismissed.
Smart phone, trail camera
can’t prove he exists.
