LYRIC FOR SALE

I want you to see you, in his face,
But I know it's not allowed.
She's drawing a line right through his name,
And crossing the whole thing out.

The tired lines around your eyes,
Match his perfect baby skin.
As the path of DNA crosses over,
To where the flame ends and yet begins.

All the petty lies you hide behind,
Get buried deep inside.
But the deeper truth bubbles through your core,
Can't find rooms enough to hide.

They catch you silent, unaware,
In some random part of day.
And hold you ransom to your eyes,
Won't let you look away.

Your bitter cross, your stone of moss,
Can no longer roll away.
it's trapped you neatly to the floor,
And you cannot run away.

This heavy stone, lies on your bones,
Every single day.
And sometimes you shift it just enough,
To look the other way.

But I can tell, this weight of Hell,
Will crush you where you lay.
Until you lift it from your shoulders,
And find some other way.

There's no other way, except to say,
That he's asking for you by name.
And that simple word, that goes unheard,
Still echoes where it lays...
