Hello Songbay users. We will be making the following changes over the next few months:
-The introduction of stringent quality controls to ensure the integrity of our service and the quality of the Songbay music/lyric library. If material does not meet our exacting standards or if we receive too much of a certain genre of writing, we will not accept it.
-The introduction of Lyric sales.
-An Introduction of Copyright sales.
-A simplified licensing process-removing the many different licensing categories we currently offer, replacing with a single ‘multi-use’ license.
-Controls which allow users to determine their own sale price for all their material at Songbay.
-A rating and comments system to give a broader perspective on Songbay artists.
-The removal of the current subscription options with simple ‘free’ or ‘commission based’ services.
-A much more ‘user-friendly’ website which will be simple to navigate for buyers and sellers.
-A straightforward listing and upload process of songs and lyrics.
-An improved user-profile area allowing for images, video, web links, RSS feeds, etc.
-Greater Songbay exposure on social networking sites to encourage trading.
-The removal of many of the bugs which caused glitches with uploads under certain circumstances.
